Get rid of welcome screen with autologon

Posted by: Helen on: May 27, 2006

1. click on "Start" – then click on "Run" – and type"control userpasswords2"
2. click OK
3. On the Users tab, clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" check box and click "Apply".
4. Select the user you want to log on  & click OK. A dialog will appear that asks you what user name and password should be used to logon automatically, just click "OK".

Then go to Control Panel / User Accounts, and click “Change the way users log on or off”, and untick both “Use the Welcome Screen” and “Use Fast User Switching”

Bookmarking this… thank you for the info. Seriously need help with a lot that I know little about, nor do I have the patience. Hmmm. What about the movie program? Screen freeze, etc. Space? RAM?

Windows movie maker…screen freezes constantly! And the article that interested me greatly was the May 2oth…photoshop…what I don’t need don’t keep. Goinf through this will be a bit of a pain since I don’t know a whole lot. I illustrate a lot and am still playing with it. What i am interested in is CG animation. I saw Orange the other day…way out of my league but if I found the right group of guys I’ve got a lot of ideas worth turning inside out. I’d be satisfied developing the characters for others to work with and just doing voice and scripts. Any way…
